Maytee: Who or what inspired you to become a hair stylist?

Angela: I was a senior in high school and was actually going to pursue a career in auto body painting until one day my step mother at the time told me I should consider doing cosmetology since I had always been doing hair for my friends on school. I took her advise and turned out great.

Maytee: Where do you currently work?

Angela: I am currently freelancing doing hair and makeup for different clients and events.

Maytee: Would you share some of your future goals, your life motto, any words of wisdom that get you by in life and professional career?

Angela: My future goal is to eventually open up my own salon and make a name for myself in this industry. you have to make moves to get to where you want to be not just think about those moves.. take action!

Maytee: What tips and advice do you have for aspiring hair stylists just starting out?

Angela: Take any advice and learn from others who've been in this career for a long time, and always seek out onstant education. Stay up to date with trends and techniques by going to hair shows or watching videos and reading books.
