Interview: 5 Questions with Pro Streetball Player, Motivational Speaker, Actor & Model Pat The Roc

Monday, September 19

Maytee: You've worked as a model for major brands including Under Armour, Voit, Wrigley's Gum and also appearing in magazines such as SLAM and Dime. What were those experiences like?

PTR: It's been an awesome experience. I'm living out my dream as a basketball player and I feel so blessed to have the opportunity to travel the globe hooping.

Maytee: How has your life changed after starring in FoxSportsNetworks's reality show "Ball Up"?

PTR: It's been pretty busy! Flying to LA every week to film was lots of fun. Just interacting with the fans at the games and via twitter has been the most memorable part. Fans always show love!

Maytee: How did you get your start in acting?

PTR: My creativity on the court landed me roles in numerous commercials which led to an opportunity to appear in a movie, "The Cookout 2".

Maytee: What inspired you to motivate others?

PTR: I felt like it would be selfish not pass on the positive messages that have been passed on to me in my life. So I decided to start a non-profit organization Team A.I.P. (Anything Is Possible) to inspire kids to pursue their dreams.

Maytee: What is any advice you would like to give to those looking to follow in your footsteps?

PTR: Be a leader and not a follower. Don't be afraid to do the right thing. Always have integrity. Be passionate about your goals and you will go far. Work hard every day and remember A.I.P., Anything Is Possible.
